Reasons to not vote for the Republican Party in 2012
67
With an election year coming up in the United States, people will go to the polls all across the country to elect the next president. Will Barack Obama win a second term in the White House or will the Republican candidate whoever he or she is end up knocking him out of the White House? Polls seem to indicate that Obama may win a second term. With 54% of the people approving of his job as president, Obama certainly has to like his chances of winning reelection. With that said, here are some reasons to not vote for the Republicans in 2012.
First of all, if you are a person that is earning only a middle class income, the Republicans don’t support the middle class. The Republicans have been known to support tax increases for the wealthiest people in America while the middle class is struggling right now. The Republicans have also been known to get support from the biggest companies in the nation.
Secondly, the Republicans have done everything they can to try and repeal Obama’s health care plan that has now been signed into law. This is another attempt by the Republicans to see Obama fail as president. We have far too many people in this country that have no health insurance coverage. Health care that is affordable is a big priority for the millions of people that don’t have it yet. If you want to have any chance of getting good health care in the future, do not vote for the Republican Party. We have been debating about health care reform since the Bill Clinton years. It is time that we got something done and the passage of the new health care legislation is a huge step in the right direction.
The Republicans have also done everything that they can to oppose and deny extension of unemployment benefits to all people in America that need them. The Republicans have even opposed extending unemployment benefits to those that have been without work for 99 weeks or longer. How can the Republicans be so uncaring about those that need help the most? If you want to see the unemployed of this country get help and extensions with their unemployment checks, don’t vote for the Republican Party.
And perhaps the most important reason to not vote for the Republicans in 2012 is because if the Republicans overtake the White House, there will most probably be more wars started that this country does not deserve to be in. We had two wars started by the George W. Bush Administration and that is two wars too many. With America facing major economic problems, we cannot afford to be in other conflicts. The Republicans have had an aggressive stance on foreign policy issues and this country does not need aggression. This country has to focus on better things. I’m not saying that there are no corrupt Democrats in Washington. It is just that there are more corrupt, crooked and dishonest Republicans. If you want a better chance of seeing a better foreign policy, don’t vote for the Republicans in 2012. The Republicans are a threat to the survival of this country.
These four reasons are four of the best reasons to note vote for the Republican Party in the upcoming 2012 general election.

Just realized I forgot the link, my bad. This is a good reference site covering a lot of different sources.
I think people need to ask themselves if they think they are better off now that we have had Obama for three years. What do we think he will do next term that is less disastrous than this one?
There may be reasons not to elect a Republican but what are the reasons to reelect Obama?
Great Hub A_Vaha. You encapsulated very well why the American people should vote for President Obama in 2012 and not the Republicans. The Republicans are only for the wealthy and Corporate America. They are funded by them and tell the people differently. Just look at the Ryan budget plan. It will decimate the working class.
I cannot believe we are banging on the Republicans about jobs with the abysmal unemployment situation. One I might add that was not supposed to be this bad thanks toMr. Obama yet has grown worse.
And NO. George Bush is not to blame after this much time has passed. I am disappointed that this hub really is nothing but rehashed talking points from the left.
Taxing the "rich" only hurts the middle or lower class. Rich being companies that make over $200,000 are already being taxed 60% then have to pay their bills, payroll, expenses etc. It's forcing small businesses to cut jobs which increases unemployment. That's how democrats are for the middle class? Doesn't make sense. When Bush was president, he had Democratic controlled congress. I think both sides are in it together. Blaming the other side definitely won't help.
@justamber. Yes you see when the ideology they support only wants one voice to be heard then you behave as they do. Anything and everything about Thierry opposition will be portrayed as evil and murderous. I am going to have to look at that website linked. If the mainstream press hasn't listed his accomplishments as much as they have hero worshipped him, I am skeptical. Diplomacy with our allies certainly won't be listed.
So what would be wrong with the Fair Tax???
I work in a supermarket...for 27 years...and have pretty good health insurance...cadillac no...however as a result of obamacares wonderful socialist program..."to each according to his needs" I have been informed that "due to increased costs " resulting from health care reform the terms of my insurance will have to be renegotiated...meaning less coverage higher co pays and higher deductables...oh yeah also my union representatives claim that my employer will try to force everybody 25,000 of us out of our health insurance plan into some gov't run obamacare plan...where some burueacrat will make decisions for me...so we may have to strike...thanks Obama for nothing...I have been robbed! Socialist thief...so much for freedom and liberty http://danielthorne.hubpages.com/hub/Obamas-Health
I agree. I don't see the current GOP as a real governing alternative.
daniel, that's a load of shit. The costs of your insurance going up are due the the health care industry's desire for profits. Health care costs have been rapidly rising for the 25 years and didn't start with Obama's attempt to provide a low cost alternative. Do yourself a damned favor and try for once to get a clue about something before you open your mouth. Watching the Faux news channel does not constitute getting a clue. Try looking up the definition of socialist, find a real one and ask them their opinion of Obama. The provision the Gumps Of Politics removed concerning a Government option would have made health care available at a reduced cost for everyone by negotiating lower prices based on bulk purchases. Your party fought this and are fighting to protect profits instead of people. Your party is fighting to keep costs high so countries that provide health care to it's citizens can save money. Your party is engaged in a bullshit spreading propaganda campaign an you are a prime example of it's effectiveness. I assume you believe the crap you have heard about how bad the health care system in Canada and England and also assume you have never taken the time to ask the citizens of these countries for their opinion of their health care. It;s so much easier to get your news from the Faux News Channel and people like Sarah Palin. It appears that the only stealing going on here is being done by those who stole your desire for the truth.

These are four good reasons I agree. I would add the republican party's habit of killing and fighting jobs as an answer to the needs of the unemployed. No checks and NO work, Great Recovery Plan Repubs. If you want to see a hundred or so more reasons, check out a list of accomplishments by President Obama so far. You wont hear many repub faithful admitting these and it's because their party hides the truth from them about everything. That they refuse to check themselves is what makes the plan work so well.
Here is a link to a site listing 100 accomplishments by Barack Obama with a link to a story covering each one. The best reason not to vote Republicsn is Barack Obama.
