Miu Nakamura

Miu Nakamura is a Japanese supermodel and actress. Yes, this is one of those articles again after the several ones that I have written already.

After Miu finished middle school, she chose to not take the high school entrance exam. Instead, she chose to focus on modeling. This is interesting because she got an early start. I wonder why she chose not finish high school and then focus on her modeling career. On December 1, 2005, her first modeling DVD titled Fairy was released. She soon gained the attention of many people. In July 2006, Miu won the tile of “Miss Young Magazine”.  There were rumors about her disappearance from the modeling industry as she didn’t appear in public for several months.  Since her return, Miu has been focusing on voice acting, acting and music. She has started a career as a singer also. Her album Stand My Ground which has gothic instead of pop music influences is doing well in Asia especially outside of Japan. That is a great thing because I think artists like this should get the recognition that they deserve.

Miu also published a photo book titled “Miu no Uta” in November 2006. On August 20, 2009, Miu announced that she is retiring from modeling work but she still plans to be involved in other areas of the entertainment industry.
